An employee of the "Dendrology Garden" Public Legal Entity (PLE) talked about the consequences of global climate change on "Planet" FM radio

The “Time Machine” program broadcast on "Planet" FM radio, hosted by renowned journalist Nigar Mammadova, discussed the consequences of global climate change and the benefits of environmental education. 
The guest of the program this time was the leading specialist of the "Dendrology Garden" Public Legal Entity (PLE) under the authority of the head of the  Executive Power of Baku City, the chairman of the “Green World” Environmental Awareness Public Association, ecologist Elman Jafarli.
Emphasizing that the amount of carbon emissions in the atmosphere has increased over the past 50 years, E.Jafarli said that this has led to global climate change.
According to him, in order to ensure sustainable development on Earth, all states must comply with their obligations to reduce carbon emissions.
The leading specialist talked about the work done in our country in recent years towards the transition to renewable energy and the huge projects implemented.
E. Jafarli also considered it crucial  to strengthen environmental awareness in society in parallel.
"Environmental protection measures should be strengthened, and the formation of environmental awareness should be accelerated. There is a need to teach a separate subject "Ecology" in secondary schools," he said.
