New species of the plant introduced in the “Dendrology Garden”

On 27 September, 2025, specialists from the laboratory of “Ecology and Acclimatization” of the “Dendrology Garden” public legal entity (PLE) under the authority of the head of the Executive Power of Baku City introduced Ginkgo biloba L., Viburnum tinus L., Catalpa bignonioides Scopoli., Wisteria floribunda Willd. species brought from the Lankaran region to the garden’s research area and greenhouses.

During the planting of the species, a substrate was prepared from a mixture of peat, soil and perlite, and Veniv 3V, a rooting liquid, was mixed (added) with water and added to the soil to ensure better progress of the vegetative and generative organs of the plant. (temperature 17oC, relative humidity 61%).

The obtained species are trees and bushes (shrubs) that have passed the introduction test and are fully adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of our republic.

The basic aim of the research work is to propagate (increase) the species in the collection territories of the "Dendrology Garden" and use them in future landscape design.
