A district-wide event was held in Khazar district on the occasion of “November 8 - Victory Day”

A district-wide event was held in Khazar district on November 8 - Victory Day within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty”.
The event, organized by the  Executive Power of District, was attended by the head of the Executive Power of District (EPD) Elshan Salahov, Chairman of the Khazar district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Namig Ahmadov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the “Dendrology Garden” public legal entity under the authority of the head of the Executive Power of Baku City, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Samira Baghirova, heads of law enforcement agencies, representatives of the administrative-territorial districts of the settlements, mayors, families of martyrs, veterans and war participants, heads of administrative-organizational, educational and healthcare institutions of the district, teaching and student staff of the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Military Institute of Internal Troops, the National Aviation Academy, intellectuals, youth and public representatives.
First, the participants visited the monument to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev erected in front of the administrative building of the Khazar Regional Administrative District and laid flowers in front of the monument, paying tribute to the memory of the great personality with deep respect.
During the event, which continued at the Mardakan Palace of Culture, the participants got acquainted with the exhibition of paintings by Ramil Ahmadov, a member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan and the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, organized in the lobby of the palace.
Then, the transition was made to the official part of the event, the National Anthem was played, and the memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Then, a documentary film dedicated to our glorious victory and historical victory titled "Golden Autumn" was shown at the event.
After the make a speech at the event, the head of the Executive Power of District, Elshan Salahov, congratulated the participants of the event on “November 8 - Victory Day” and noted that the 44-day Patriotic War was forever written in golden letters in the history of Azerbaijan, and that this victory was achieved thanks to the determination, political will of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the valor, heroism of our invincible army, the lives and blood of our fearless, brave soldiers, and the unity of our people. He also emphasized that Azerbaijan has once again restored its sovereignty as a consequence of the successful completion of local anti-terrorist measures in the Karabakh region in order to restore the constitutional order.
After the speeches, a concert program was held with the participation of celebrity artists of the republic.
