Staff of the Department of “Plant Protection and Development” conducted monitoring in “Dendrology Garden” territory
Staff of the Department of “Plant Protection and Development” of the “Dendrology Garden” PLE conducted the first monitoring in the garden area in accordance with the scientific and research work program for 2026.
During the monitoring, observations were made on ornamental plants in the garden territory, such as Noble Laurel (Laurus nobilis), Lankaran Acacia (Albizia julibrissin Durazz, 1772), various species of the Common Oleander (Nerium oleander L. 1753), Beautiful Bougainvillea (Bougainvilleae spectabilis Willd. “Aurantiaca”), Red Geranium (Pelargonium inquinans (L.) L'Hér.), Chinese Rose (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L).
As a consequence, traces of a number of diseases and harmful organisms were found on the plants whose names are mentioned.
After these diseases and pests are investigated and studied, it is intended to develop and implement integrated control measures to ensure the progress of plants.
