Today is the third Charshanba of Novruz – Wind Charshanba.

According to the traditional belief, warm winds blowing on Wind Charshanba indicates the spring’s coming.

The wind that rises on Wind Charshanba travels around the world, still water come to motion and fire in motion, and breathes new life into everything.

On this Charshanba evening, bonfires are kept in every yard people jump over the bonfire with the intention of protecting themselves from harm, evil and disasters.

Also preparations for the last Charshanba and Novruz are made on Wind Charshanba, house, yard or chimneys are cleaned, and sweets are baked.
