Today is Ramadan holiday in Azerbaijan
Today is the holy month of Ramadan in the Muslim world.
According to Islamic belief, fasting during the month of Ramadan is obligatory for all Muslims who have reached the age of majority, who are sick and who are not traveling.
Eating, drinking, smoking, etc. during daylight hours during Ramadan. not possible. Only children, sick people, pregnant women, those who fight at the front, and those who go on long journeys are exempted. Fasting begins after the new moon rises in the month of Ramadan and lasts 29-30 days. It is written in the Holy Quran: "When dawn breaks, eat and drink until the white thread is different from the black thread; then complete your fast till nightfall”.
Fasting worship purifies people spiritually, causes them to repent of their sins and do good deeds in the way of Allah.
Zakat al-Fitr, one of the most important acts of fasting, is the last day of Ramadan. Fitra is the charity of the soul, and it is important for every Muslim who has the means to take out Zakat Fitra for each member of his family and give it to the poor and needy families.
In two days, Muslims living all over the world will celebrate with each other.
For the first time, the Muslims of Azerbaijan will celebrate the holy month of Ramadan in the entire sovereign territory of the country. Eid prayers will be held today in the mosques of Agdam, Shusha, Khankendi and other regions liberated from occupation.
We wish that the Ramadan holiday, when love, brotherhood and friendship reach the highest levels, will bring joy to all mankind.
Happy holiday!
