Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited tomb of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in Alley of Honors

It is the 101st anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of contemporary and independent Azerbaijani state, the great son of the Azerbaijani people and the National Leader.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the tomb of Great Leader in Alley of Honors.

President Ilham Aliyev laid a wreath at the tomb of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and paid tribute to the National Leader.

 The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.

Then the First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva paid tribute to the National Leader with deep respect.

The head of state and the First Lady then put flowers at the grave of the National Leader`s wife, outstanding ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

They also paid respect to prominent statesman Aziz Aliyev and professor Tamerlan Aliyev.
