Employees of "Dendrology Garden" PLE participated in the scientific-practical conference

On 22 May, 2024, a national scientific-practical conference of young researchers on "Global Calls and Prospects" dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at Western Caspian University. In the opening speech, the president of the university, professor Huseyn Baghirov talked about the Azerbaijani youth policy of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev.

He noted that as a result of the purposeful policy carried out under the leadership of the Great Leader, young people with a high intellectual level, a sense of patriotism and national thinking have been formed in our republic.

The plenary session of the conference continued with the speeches of Adigozel Dosiyev, professor of the Western Caspian University, Yusif Aliyev, PhD, associate professor, director of ASPU Guba branch, and executive director of MSEAR Institute of Genetic Resources, PhD, associate professor Mehraj Abbasov.

After the plenary session, the conference was continued in sections.

At the ongoing conference on the nature department in the assembly hall of the high technologies and innovative engineering corps of the university, Khadija Aliyeva, Seljan Safaraliyeva, employees of the Department “Protection of Plant and Ensuring Development” of the “Dendrology Garden” talked about "History of pesticide use in  Azerbaijan and currently used pesticides" and Aybeniz Hajiyeva and Gunay Alihasanova, employees of the Laboratory of “Economically Importance Plants”, presented the thesis “Oil extraction from medicinal plants introduced to the Dendrology Garden and their phytochemical study”.

The participants were awarded a certificate at the end.
