An event was held on the theme "Green world through the eyes of young people"

On 14 June, 2024, Baku City Youth and Sports Department, Khazar Youth House and "Dendrology Garden" Public Legal Entity (PLE) jointly organized an event on the theme "Green world through the eyes of young people" was held within the framework of "2024 Year of Solidarity for the Green World".

Gunduz Valiyev, head of the Khazar region youth and sports sector of the Baku City Youth and Sports Department, who opened the event with an introductory speech, said that the purpose of the event was to draw attention to environmental problems.

It was noted that the young generation actively participates in the social-political, socio-economic and cultural life of the Republic of Azerbaijan during the years of independence.

Rasmiyya Afandiyeva, head of the department of "Dendrology Garden" PLE, talked about the environmental problems that concern the world, the President's support for young people, and the restoration and construction works carried out in Karabakh and East Zangezur regions, which were freed from occupation.

Later, Shalala Mammadova, the leading specialist of "Dendrology Garden" PLE made a speech on the topic "Green world and environmental care".

She talked about the working principle of the "Dendrochronology" laboratory operating in the Dendrology Garden and the fact that the growth and reduction of the annual rings reflect climate changes.

Nijat Yarov, talked on the topic "Supporting youth for a green future", conveyed about media campaigns, raising awareness about recycling, waste management, and creative recycling projects.

At the end, certificates were presented to the employees who presented the slides.
