Staff of "Dendrology Garden" PLE participated in the training held at ADA University

"The Development and Diplomacy Institute of ADA University in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program has started the implementation of the project on "Supporting the National Adaptation Plan (MFP) for adaptation planning and implementation in Azerbaijan" financed by the Green Climate Fund (GCF).

The project implements a number of measures and activities for effective adaptation process at both national and local level.

One of the main directions of the project is to increase the capacity of climate resilience and adaptation in agriculture and water sectors through training.

For this purpose, from 23 July, 2024 to 1 August, 2024, about 200 civil servants, representatives of NGOs, researchers of about 40 organizations were involved in training on various topics.

The training program covered topics such as CCA impacts and key challenges in Azerbaijan, water resources management for Climate Resilience, strategies for inclusive climate adaptation initiatives, and Climate Finance.

Elman Jafarli, Shabnam Ashrafova and Aybeniz Hajiyeva, employees of "Dendrology Garden" Public Legal Entity, under the supervision of the head of Executive Power of Baku City, also participated in the training.

Employees who successfully completed the training were awarded a certificate.
