Commemoration Day was celebrated on 27 September in Dendrology Garden
27th September is one of the most vital days in our contemporary history. On that day of 2020, the 44-day Patriotic War began, which resulted in the liberation of the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.
As a result of the 44-day Patriotic War, our territories occupied by the Armenian army were liberated.
According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on 2 December, 2020, 27th September is celebrated as Commemoration Day in Azerbaijan every year as a sign of deep respect for our soldiers and officers, who fought heroically in the Patriotic War and sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country, as well as all our martyrs.
On 27 September, a commemoration event for the martyrs was held in the administrative building of the public legal entity "Dendrology Garden" under the authority of the head of Executive Power of Baku City. Firstly, the memory of the martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Make a speech at the event, Elman Jafarli, the leading consultant of the department of Law, staff, information and work with documents of the public legal entity "Dendrology Garden", convey the historical significance of the Patriotic War. He said that under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander, President Ilham Aliyev, our armed forces wrote history in 44 days, destroyed the enemy's positions with successful operations that will go down in military textbooks, and crushed the Armenian army: the units of the Armenian army were destroyed by accurate point shots of the artillery. After 27 years, the Azerbaijani army freed Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Zangilan, Gubadli regions from the enemy. On 10 November, Armenia was forced to sign the act of capitulation.
E.Jafarli said that the agile diplomacy of the President of Azerbaijan, his leadership skills, precise strikes of our army put an end to the occupation of Azerbaijan, and our territorial integrity was restored. Today, every individual of the Azerbaijani people walks proudly in any country of the world. Since we are the representatives of the victorious nation. We owe this to our martyrs and veterans.
