An information session on the Green Zone was organized at COP29

On October 9, 2024, under the organization of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company held an information session about the Green Zone at COP29 for NGOs.

Aygun Aliyeva, member of the COP29 Organizing Committee, executive director of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations, Ayan Najaf, member of the Coordinating Council of the COP29 Operating Company, Rustam Hasanov, adviser to the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, chairman of the programming committee of the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company, and other responsible persons participated in the session. More than 50 NGO representatives participated in the information session.

At the meeting, information was given on the opportunities created for the NGOs participating in the Green Zone, and the questions of the NGOs were answered.

Elman Jafarli, employee of "Dendrology Garden" public legal entity, chairman of "Yashil Dunya" Environmental Awareness Public Union, also participated in the event.
