3 employees of the public legal entity “Dendrology Garden” will participate in municipal elections

On 29 January, the next local and elected government elections will be held in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Polling stations will open at 08:00 and will go on until 19:00.

16,096 candidates will compete for 685 municipalities in the elections.

According to the current laws, municipal chairmen will be elected by the municipal members elected at the first meeting of the municipalities formed as a result of the elections.

3 employees of the public legal entity “Dendrology Garden” (PLE) under the authority of the head of the Executive Power of Baku City will also participate in municipal elections on the list of the New Azerbaijan Party.

Shabnam Ashrafova, an employee of the “Landscape Architecture and Systematics” laboratory of the “Dendrology Garden” PLE, will run for the Khazar district, Turkan municipality of Baku city, Oktay Aslanov, an employee of the “Strategic Development, International Cooperation and Project Management” Department, will run for the Mardakan municipality of the Khazar district of Baku city, and Mirhuseyn Safarov, an employee of the “Ecology and Acclimatization” Laboratory, will run for such as candidate the Khol Garabujaq municipality of Neftchala district.

The establishment, formation and progress of municipalities is one of the most crucial factors contributing to the progress of society. The close contact and mutual successful activity of local self-government bodies with the population is commendable.

As a logical result of the far-sighted and purposeful political strategy of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan has become stronger, developed, and strengthened its international reputation with its independent foreign policy course.

Today, our successes as a country continue consistently under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Ilham Aliyev.

All 3 members of the “Dendrology Garden” PLE participating in elections are young. The Chairman of the NAP, Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, has always attached significance to patriotic, intelligent and educated youth in state building and administration and promoted them.

We hope that all 3 of our employees will gain the trust of the voters and be elected as municipal members and will successfully operate in local self-government bodies. Their success in the elections will also be an expression of trust in the NAP.
