Ornamental bush and flower seeds obtained from the Czech Republic will be introduced in Dendrology Garden

By the employees of the “Ecology and Acclimatization” laboratory of the “Dendrology Garden” public legal entity (PLE) from the botanical garden "Dear Botanical Garden Teplice" in Czech Republic will be introduce Athyrium niponicum (Mett.) Hance ‘Metallicum’, Polystichum setiferum Rosendahl ‘Plumosum Densum’, Strophanthus speciosus (Ward & Harv) Reber, Cordia boissieri A.DC., Pseudorhipsalis amazonica subsp. Amazonica, Acalypha hispida Burm.f. 'Alba', Clerodendrum trichotomum Thunb., Melissa officinalis L. 'Mandarina', Monarda didyma 'Balmy Pink', Medinilla sp., Fuchsia paniculata Lindl., Paeonia suffruticosa papaveracea (Andrews) A.Kern., Passiflora capsularis L., Aconitum soongaricum (Regel) Stapf (Regel) Stapf ., Allium caeruleum Pall., Davidia-involucrata Baill., Ochna serrulata Walp., Allium pskemense B.Fedtsch, Allium sphaerocephalon L., Caryota cf. Mitis, Eustrephus latifolius R.Br., Canna indica L., Iris domestica (L.) Goldblatt & Mabb., Festuca glauca Vill. 'Festina'., Adiantum venustum D.Don. seeds of ornamental shrubs, trees and flowers were supplied.
Seed samples were obtained in order to ensure environmental sustainability, defend biodiversity and enrich the species composition of plant collections.
The bioecological features of plant species obtained within the framework of international seed exchange were comprehensively studied by the laboratory's expert staff and their introduction to research territories and greenhouses situated in the area of the "Dendrology Garden".
