Staff of the “Dendrology Garden” Public Legal Entity (PLE) participated in trainings on protecting soil and resources against climate change
Shalala Mammadova, a leading specialist of the “Dendrochronology”laboratory of the “Dendrology Garden” Public Legal Entity (PLE) under the authority of the head of the Executive Power of Baku City, participated in the trainings organized within the framework of the project “Education on the efficient use of soil and water against the background of climate change in the Shirvan-Salyan economic region” conducted with the joint financial support of the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and BP.
It should be noted that various trainings and educational events were organized within the framework of the project in Hajigabul, Shirvan, Salyan and Neftchala regions.
During the trainings, information was provided to the participants on the impacts of climate change on the environment and agriculture, protection of soil resources, efficient utilize of water resources, water-saving approaches and sustainable management of natural resources.
At the events, participants listened to presentations on the topic, participated in discussions and exchanged views on environmental issues relevant to the region.
Along with experts and specialists, project participants also actively participated in the trainings held within the project.
Shalala Mammadova also participated in all the trainings held in Hajigabul, Shirvan, Salyan and Neftchala districts.
At the end of the trainings, the basic goal of which was to raise awareness about the issues caused by climate change, to promote the right approaches to the protection of land and water resources and their more efficient use, the participants were presented with certificates confirming their participation in the project.
