Agrotechnical maintenance works were carried out in the green areas of the Dendrology Garden

In accordance with the directions of activity in the Dendrology Garden, the focus on is always on the creation of new green areas that give aesthetic pleasure, increasing biodiversity, and protecting the environment. In the 12-hectare territory of the Dendrology Garden,  agrotechnical maintenance measures for various types of plants are continued. The technical staff of the public legal entity "Dendrology Garden" under the authority of the head of the Executive Power of Baku City took care of the greenery in the garden area in accordance with the action plan.

In the action, agrotechnical care was taken of the plants, the bottom of the trees was softened, weeds were cleaned, and the necessary work was done to increase the fertility of the soil.

It should be noted that there are rare, endemic and relic tree-shrub species included in the "Red Book" of Azerbaijan in the Dendrology Garden. The employees of the garden always pay attention to the preservation of these species.

In the Dendrology Garden, in order to protect biodiversity, a natural environment is created in accordance with the bioecological characteristics of endangered plant species, measures are taken to increase their number by means of vegetative and generative reproduction methods. In the action, by the laboratory employees are also testing new methods of combating against pests created in plant.

The establishment of green areas, increase of biodiversity and maintenance measures are continued under the supervision of the Administrative Personnel of the public legal entity "Dendrology Garden".
