Is continued increasing the number of plants and enriching the species in the Dendology Garden area

Area work is being continued in the Dendrology Garden with the purpose of increasing the number of plants and enriching the species. Oleander (Nerium L.), rosemary (Rosmarinus L.), lavender (Lavandula L.), aspidistra (Aspidistra Ker Gawl.), palm (Chamaerops L.), sedo (Ruta L.) etc. various species belonging to the genus are mutiplied vegetatively (pen).

 The first 15 daily average temperature (25 °C) and relative humidity (69 %) of Mardakan settlement noted for September, a special multipling area according to the ecological requirements of the species has been allocated for planting. The mineral content of the soil area considered for growing plants in the garden area was studied in laboratory conditions. Organic and mineral fertilizers were applied to the field, with appropriate agrotechnical maintenance. More than 3,000 seedlings and saplings were planted in the prepared area.

The mentioned species are perennial, prospective, decorative, medicinal plants resistant to the soil and climate conditions of the Absheron Peninsula. Multiplied species are intended to be used in various compositions, single and group plantings in the garden area.
