Drought-resistant trees and shrubs have been planted in Baku

In accordance with the instructions of the head of the country Mr. Ilham Aliyev, work is being continued in Baku city in the direction of increasing green areas, restoring the ecological balance and protecting the environment. In accordance with the season, mass tree planting and greening work is being carried out in different areas of the capital by the Greening Economy Union of the Executive Power of Baku City.

  According to the information provided by the Executive Power, recently the flora diversity of Baku has been significantly increased, and local tree species adapted to the climatic conditions of the city are also being planted. At the same time, due to the threat of global climate changes and water shortages, it is preferred to plant drought-resistant plants, trees and shrubs that are suitable for the local climate and also bloom in various colors in Baku.

During the season, by the Greening Economy Union of the Executive Power of Baku City is being created greening corners Lankaran acacia, chezalpina, jumolas, wisteria, which will give the city a special beauty with their red, yellow, white flowers, suitable for the city's climate and resistant to drought, will be planted in the capital. Currently, new shrubs are planted in the places where our residents are most likely walking and relaxing - Central, Winter, "Ataturk", "Ganjlik" and "Nizami Ganjavi" parks, along the main avenues and streets. Also, ivies are planted next to the trees on the main avenue and the streets.

 At the same time, our residents are recommended to plant such as trees and shrubs in their yards.
