A new Botanical Park will be layout near the Khojahasan Lake

It is intended the creation a new Botanical Park near the Khojahasan Lake, where the species of main local plant will be grown and it will be a migration dwelling for migratory swamp birds.

It was mentioned in the Master Plan for the development of Baku until 2040.

It was noted that the Khojahasan Lake reconstruction project creates favorable conditions for the development of the Khojahasan-Lokbatan hybrid green corridor. The existing concept includes the ending of oil production operations in the northern part of the lake, cleaning of the areas and restoration of the sewerage system. The transport of the territory will be provided via a passenger railway station located on the existing railway.

  It was reported that the area of Swan Lake is included in the list of dwelling of migratory bird populations. This natural wealth active manage, an ornithological center of importance of tourism can be created in the area.

 In this aspect, the typological protection parameters and the sanitary-protection zone applied in the territory should be reviewed the features specific to the area: ensuring the performing of ecological functions, also the increasing of water quality by creating natural coastal areas and swamp; creating biodiversity, various, high-quality and fascinating coastal areas.

 This can be achieved by creating coastal areas equipped with compositions of greenery and small architectural forms, considering the rare project solutions that reveal the uniqueness of the area, and creating various passive and active recreation places.

     Seasonal or temporary events and constant activities such as rowing (pull the paddles) club can be created in the park around Khojahasan Lake, which belongs to the type of big city park. (Azertaj)
